The research network «Responsible Digital Society» (RDS) collaborates with the interdisciplinary music festival «Interfinity 2024» to reach out to the general public on the capabilities of modern AI and its impact on science, art, and society at large.

The RDS and the interdisciplinary music festival Interfinity present a very special concert on March 20, 2024 at 7:30 pm in the Voltahalle Basel.  Entitled 'Artificial Art', this three-part series of events offers an impressive experience that explores the boundaries between human creativity and artificial intelligence in music.  A human ensemble performs works by both human composers and AI, challenging the audience to guess the origin of each piece. Between the music performances, there will be scientific intermezzi on topics related to AI.  At the subsequent drinks reception, AI scientists will mingle with the audience and look forward to answering questions about artificial intelligence. The event is supported by the Swiss National Science Foundation as part of an Agora grant to promote science communication.
